JPEG Recovery

Where were you on April 6th, 2006?  I was in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  How / why do I know this?  While trying to recover an image from the family camera, I decided to pull out a faithful tool: recoverjpeg.

Recoverjpeg is a software program, licensed under the GNU GPL, that will search a block device looking for data from jpegs.  Since deleting a file only deletes the record of the file and not the file itself, recoverjpeg has an EXTREMELY high recovery rate.  (This is speaking from personal experience.  I don't have any numbers to back me up.)

Oh, and as a quick note: It managed to recover almost six-hundred images ranging back from April 2006 until the present.  Just thought that I would share.
