What health care?

It just struck me as somewhat funny and somewhat sad: everyone wants excellent health care, but no one seems to be concerned that most children aren't required to get any physical education anymore.  I guess most people don't realize that it a little bit of excercise won't just keep you fit, it can make you less prone to disease.  Does the healthcare system need work?  Definitely.  But it would seem to me that, unless core 'health' problems are addressed, no progress has really been made.
